Cambodia Investment Review
KOI Thé has set a national record for the most blood donors in a single day in Cambodia, with 749 eligible donors participating in a recent blood donation event at its new 2004 branch. Organized in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Center under the theme “You are the Hero. Your Blood, Their Life,” the event attracted over 900 volunteers from more than 10 countries.
This milestone underscores KOI Thé’s commitment to community welfare and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Oknha Khorn Chhundara, CEO of KOI Thé, also attended and expressed gratitude to the donors and the National Blood Transfusion Center team. “We set up this event to make it more convenient for people to donate blood. We selected September 18th because it is the first day of Pchum Ben, symbolically in line with the Cambodian spirit of kindness,” he explained. He added that the event aimed to make the launch of KOI Thé’s new branch more memorable and meaningful.
Setting an Example for Corporate Social Responsibility
Oknha Dara also challenged other companies to beat KOI Thé’s record, urging more awareness and participation in blood donations. The collected blood will support hospitals across Cambodia, where supplies are in continuous demand. “This is not just about selling beverages; it’s about being an active part of the community and making a positive impact,” Oknha Dara emphasized.
The success of the event was made possible through collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Center and strong volunteer participation. “KOI Thé’s record-breaking drive not only provides essential resources for hospitals but also sets an example for other businesses to follow,” said a representative from the National Blood Transfusion Center.
KOI Thé’s initiative highlights the important role the private sector can play in supporting national health efforts. As CSR becomes a key part of business strategies, this event serves as a model for how companies can engage with communities and contribute to societal needs.
Looking ahead, KOI Thé plans to continue engaging in health-related initiatives and aims to inspire other businesses to take similar steps. The event concluded with KOI Thé extending its thanks to all volunteers, donors, and partners involved.
This record-breaking blood drive demonstrates the power of collaboration between businesses and communities, with KOI Thé leading by example in its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
