ACLEDA Bank Plc. (“ACLEDA Bank”), the first listed Commercial Bank in Cambodia, hereby announces that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding “MoU” with the General Secretariat of the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority (“GSFSA”) on Promoting Financial Technology Development and Digital Transformation in the Non-Bank Financial Sector.
The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by H.E. MEY VANN, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority (“GSFSA”), Dr. In Channy, President & Group Managing Director of ACLEDA Bank, and Dr. Phon Narin, President of ACLEDA University of Business Co., Ltd. (“AUB”) as well as senior management and representatives of GSFSA, ACLEDA Bank and AUB. The primary objective of this cooperation is to promote financial technology (Fintech) literacy and digital transformation through key activities, including:
• Technological Integration: Integrating Mini Apps between the FSA’s Fintech portal and the ACLEDA Super app and promoting the use of ACLEDA Bank’s services (ACLEDA Payment Gateway)
• Knowledge and Experience Sharing: Organizing workshops, conferences, as well as providing expert speakers to share knowledge related to financial technology and digital transformation, including financial literacy, digital literacy, and financial technology literacy, and
• Research and Innovation: Supporting and providing input on innovation, research and the development of new digital products and services within the non-bank financial sector.
This trilateral cooperation marks the first Memorandum of Understanding signed between the GSFSA, ACLEDA Bank, and AUB. Hence, this collaboration will serve as a key driving force in driving new innovations to enhance financial inclusion and foster the sustainable growth and development of Cambodia’s financial sector.
