The World Techlympics will hold its first Cambodia competition in Phnom Penh on October 3 and 4, 2026, giving students the opportunity to compete in robotics, drone technology and coding challenges.

Organised by the Malaysia Technology Expo and Robotics Bureau (MYTEB), the Cambodia round forms part of a regional STEM competition designed to develop students’ practical capabilities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The event will take place at the Performing Arts Theater at the Australian International School Phnom Penh (AISPP).

Equipment and Training Provided to Participants

Students will not require previous competition experience or their own equipment to participate. Organisers said the necessary kits and training will be provided during the event.

The competition will feature several practical categories, including drone racing, robotics and coding challenges. Participants will be required to design, programme or operate technology while completing tasks under competitive conditions.

The programme aims to provide young people with hands-on exposure to emerging technologies while strengthening problem-solving, teamwork and technical skills.

Cambodian Champions Eligible for Kuala Lumpur Finals

Winners of the Cambodia competition will receive the opportunity to participate in the World Techlympics Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bringing together leading student teams from participating markets.

The Phnom Penh event represents an expansion of the World Techlympics programme into Cambodia as schools and policymakers place greater emphasis on developing digital and technical skills among young people.

Registration is now open through the official World Techlympics Cambodia website.

Students, parents and schools can also join the event’s official Telegram group for competition updates and additional information.
