The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia has confirmed its new Board of Directors for 2026 following its Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking a renewed push to expand business cooperation and member engagement across the Canada–Cambodia commercial corridor. The announcement reflects a blend of continuity and new leadership experience, positioning the chamber to play a larger role in supporting Canadian-linked businesses and investors during the year ahead.

Held with strong participation from members and partners, the AGM focused on reviewing the chamber’s progress over the past 12 months, operational priorities, and the strategic roadmap for 2026. The chamber emphasised that the upcoming year will prioritise collaboration across both public and private sectors, increased visibility for member companies, and the expansion of community-building programs.

The official board lineup announced for 2026 is as follows:

  • Yein Ngo – Chairwoman
  • Monika Nowaczyk – Vice-chairwoman
  • Denis Barre – Secretary/Treasurer
  • Victor La – Board of Director
  • David Stevenson – Board of Director
  • Mona Tep – Board of Director
  • Malavy Moeun – Board of Director

Honorary Board Members who joined the meeting were:

The chamber noted that the updated leadership structure will be reflected on the CanCham website in the coming days as part of ongoing communications improvements.

Focus on continuity and fresh leadership

This year’s AGM underscored the combined strength of newly elected and continuing directors. Monika Nowaczyk, Mona Tep, and Malavy Moeun were elected to the board, joining a leadership group with established sector experience and longstanding involvement in Cambodia’s business ecosystem. Their appointment complements the continued service of directors Yein Ngo, Denis Barre, Victor La, and David Stevenson, who remain key to the chamber’s ongoing development.

Leadership continuity will be critical as the chamber expands its focus on member value, business networking, and the visibility of Canadian-linked companies. Directors also reaffirmed their commitment to industry-specific initiatives that support entrepreneurs, SMEs, and large enterprises operating across priority fields that include education, finance, technology, real estate, hospitality, and services.

A major highlight of the meeting was the formal acknowledgement of Emily Yu, who concluded her term as Chairwoman.
