In a significant move aimed at bolstering its Southeast Asian connectivity, Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has announced the reinstatement of its daily services to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, through Singapore, starting from May 1. This strategic decision underscores the airline’s dedication to expanding its global network, facilitating travel, and fostering trade relations within the region.
The reinstated route is expected to serve as a vital link between two key trade and leisure hubs in Southeast Asia, offering seamless connectivity to and from Dubai. The announcement was made by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, who highlighted the importance of this move in strengthening the airline’s network across Southeast Asia. Kazim expressed gratitude towards the Cambodian and Singaporean authorities for their support in establishing the new route and emphasized the airline’s commitment to enhancing travel experiences and trade connections. “The resumption of our Phnom Penh services demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our Southeast Asian network, as we continue to create more opportunities for travelers to explore diverse and culturally rich destinations, and help businesses and exporters of all sizes establish stronger trade connections,” Kazim stated.
