Cambodia Investment Revew
The Embassy of Israel to Cambodia marked the 78th Independence Day of the State of Israel with a high-level luncheon in Phnom Penh, bringing together senior government officials, business leaders, diplomats, and members of the Cambodian and Israeli private sectors to reaffirm growing bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for economic cooperation.
The event, organised in collaboration with the Cambodia-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Neak Oknha Suo Vireak, Honorary Consul of Israel to Cambodia, was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm, Ambassador of Israel to Cambodia.

Among those attending were H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, H.E. Preap Kol, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, members of the Cambodia Oknha Association, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and business leaders from both countries.
Business Cooperation Takes Centre Stage
While celebrating Israel’s national day, the luncheon also served as an important platform for strengthening commercial ties between Cambodia and Israel.
Business leaders exchanged ideas on expanding cooperation across trade, investment, innovation, technology, education, and cultural exchange, reflecting a shared ambition to deepen economic engagement.
Addressing guests, Ambassador Fisher-Kamm highlighted the strong foundations of the bilateral relationship.

“Building on the ground of common values and similarities between our people, we believe Cambodia is a great partner to work with and learn from,” she said.
Representing the Royal Government of Cambodia, Labour Minister Heng Sour reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
“The Royal Government of Cambodia is committed to further strengthening friendship, solidarity and cooperation with the State of Israel, to deliver practical benefits to the peoples of both countries,” he said.
The event also provided an opportunity for Cambodian companies and Israeli partners to identify new investment opportunities, strengthen business networks, and discuss future areas of commercial collaboration.
Bilateral Relations Continue to Expand
The celebration comes as Cambodia and Israel continue to deepen cooperation across several strategic sectors.
During her visit to Cambodia, Ambassador Fisher-Kamm held a series of high-level meetings with senior Royal Government officials, including Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet. Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in innovation, technology, knowledge exchange, and practical partnerships that support long-term economic development.

The visit builds upon the bilateral Cooperation Agreement in the fields of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, signed in February 2025 by Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, providing an institutional framework for future collaboration.
Innovation Partnership Gains Momentum
Looking ahead, both countries are seeking to convert diplomatic engagement into tangible economic outcomes through initiatives such as Innovex, an emerging Cambodian innovation centre designed to strengthen collaboration between the Israeli and Cambodian technology ecosystems.

The initiative supports technology transfer, entrepreneurship, startup development, innovation education, and capacity building by connecting expertise from both countries.
As Cambodia continues to position itself as an emerging innovation and investment destination, both governments and their respective private sectors expressed confidence that closer cooperation with Israel will create new opportunities for trade, investment, technological advancement, and sustainable economic growth.
