As a committed corporate citizen of Cambodia, ABA Bank has been honored with the AmCham CSR Excellence Award 2025 in the Education & Empowerment category for Children’s Education and Literacy. The recognition underscores the Bank’s continued dedication to advancing education, child welfare, and inclusive development across the Kingdom.

This achievement builds on ABA Bank’s Children Education Empowerment Program, a multi-pillar initiative designed to improve access to education, create safe learning environments, and expand opportunities for disadvantaged children nationwide.

ABA supports more than 740 disadvantaged students

Through its long-standing partnership with the Cambodia Children’s Fund (CCF), ABA supports more than 740 disadvantaged students through education development programs and scholarships, helping them break free from the cycle of poverty. In Takeo province, ABA initiated a comprehensive renovation of Sanlong Primary School, upgrading aging facilities into a healthier and more supportive learning environment. Improvements included classroom renovations, new doors and windows, and the installation of solar lamps, benefiting 545 students and enhancing their overall learning experience.

ABA also partnered with Raksa Koma Organization to renovate the Child Protection Center of Krousar Thmey, an NGO supporting vulnerable children since 1991. The project provided improved shelter, care, and educational facilities for 55 children unable to live with their families, transforming the center into a safer and more nurturing space.

Helping Nurture a Generation of Confident Young Cambodians

Commenting on the award, Igor Zimarev, EVP and Chief Marketing and CSR Officer of ABA Bank, said: “We are honored to once again receive the AmCham CSR Award for our children empowerment initiative. By investing in people and communities, we are helping nurture a generation of confident young Cambodians ready to contribute to their families and the country’s future.”

Together with its partners and local communities, ABA Bank remains committed to delivering positive social impact beyond financial services. The Children Education Empowerment Program will continue to be a cornerstone of the Bank’s CSR strategy, reaffirming ABA’s dedication to helping children grow, learn, and reach their full potential.
