Asian Petrel Advisory will hold its “Design Your Life” workshop in Phnom Penh on October 25, offering professionals a practical framework for aligning career decisions, leadership development and personal priorities.

The programme is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra’s Arun 1 Hall, according to the organiser’s invitation.

Inspired by Stanford’s Life Design framework, the workshop combines personal reflection, interactive exercises and executive networking. It aims to help participants identify their values and strengths, assess their direction and translate broader ambitions into practical choices.

Asian Petrel Advisory said more than 200 professionals from government institutions, leading enterprises and the wider business community have participated in previous sessions.

Connecting Career Decisions With Personal Values

The workshop addresses a challenge familiar to business owners and professionals: how to pursue career growth while maintaining a clear sense of personal purpose.

Participants will explore how their values influence decisions about work, money, family and personal achievement. The programme places emphasis on understanding what makes work worthwhile, alongside the financial rewards it provides.

“In today’s fast-changing world, it is essential not only to work hard but also to live intentionally,” Lilian Li, founder and CEO of Asian Petrel Advisory, said in the programme’s welcome materials.

“You will learn how to define your goals, align your values with your actions, and create a vision that guides your decisions.”

Ahead of the workshop, participants are asked to prepare two short written reflections: a “Work View” and a “Life View”.

The Work View examines the purpose of work, its contribution to society and the relationship between income, growth and fulfilment. The Life View explores broader priorities, including family, community, relationships and what makes life meaningful.

Together, the exercises are intended to provide a personal compass for evaluating future choices.

Personality Assessment and Leadership Development

The programme includes an OCEAN personality assessment, which organisers describe as a tool for exploring personality and leadership strengths.

A six-hour interactive learning component will focus on personal goals, leadership and innovation potential, supported by discussions, practical activities and real-life applications.

Executive networking will provide opportunities for participants to exchange perspectives with other professionals. The advertised package also includes individual post-training coaching and personalised feedback.

Registration and Pricing

The advertised price is US$239, including lunch and tea breaks.

For professionals weighing their next career or business decision, the workshop’s central proposition is to make those choices more deliberate by connecting professional ambitions with the priorities that matter beyond work.
