The International Business Chamber of Cambodia (IBC) and the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AusCham) are joining forces to present a timely and informative forum on cybersecurity, scheduled to take place at the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Running from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM, the event—titled “Cybersecurity: The Silent Threat”—will gather leading cybersecurity professionals and top executives from Cambodia’s financial and telecommunications sectors to explore the latest cyber threats and response strategies. The session is especially relevant in light of recent cyber incidents that have impacted the country’s banking and financial services landscape.
Expert Insights on Cyber Threats
The event will begin with keynote presentations from two senior industry leaders:
- Lisa Sargent, Country Manager for Visa, will discuss approaches to countering emerging cybersecurity threats, drawing on Visa’s global insights and local relevance.
- Stanley Tee, Regional Sales Director at Ezecom and Nexusguard, will address growing concerns around vulnerabilities in mobile banking apps, a critical area of risk as Cambodia’s digital banking adoption continues to grow.
High-Level Panel Discussion
The forum will also feature a panel discussion titled “Strategies for Financial Services to Fortify Themselves Against DDoS Threats.” The discussion will bring together key decision-makers from across the financial services sector:

The panel will be facilitated by Mr. Trevor Sworn, IBC Executive Committee Member, Council Chair of the Cambodian Institute of Directors (Cam-IoD), and Director of Enduring Consultancy. The session aims to foster dialogue on how institutions can proactively strengthen their systems and response strategies against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and related threats.
