Phnom Penh is set to host a vibrant celebration of Cambodian creativity and heritage as “Color Outside the Lines,” a two-day painting exhibition organized by Humans of Phnom Penh and supported by the Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia (IBCC), takes place on May 9–10, 2025, at the Preah Srey Içanavarman Museum (SOSORO Museum). Celebrating Khmer Culture Through Art and Storytelling
The exhibition will showcase 15 stunning artworks created by a selection of Cambodia’s most talented artists. Each piece reflects a unique story inspired by Khmer heritage, identity, and the everyday experiences of Cambodians. Through this creative lens, Color Outside the Lines aims to promote cultural understanding and encourage artistic dialogue across generations.

Event Highlights and Program Schedule
Hosted at the historic SOSORO Museum, the two-day event will open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:00 AM on May 9. Guests will be invited to explore the artworks on display, meet the artists, and engage in meaningful conversations about the themes explored through their work.
An award ceremony will follow at 5:00 PM on May 10, recognizing standout artistic contributions and encouraging the continued growth of Cambodia’s creative sector.
A Collaborative Effort for Cultural Empowerment
This initiative is led by Humans of Phnom Penh, a local platform known for spotlighting personal stories and social issues across Cambodia. With the support of the Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia, the event represents a broader effort to foster connections between the business and cultural communities in the Kingdom.
The exhibition is also part of a growing trend of public-private partnerships aimed at promoting the arts as a vehicle for national pride, education, and international engagement.
