RHB Bank Signs Financing Partnership With Kirisu to Support Cambodian Dairy Expansion

Cambodia Investment Review

RHB Bank (Cambodia) has signed a financing partnership with Khmer Fresh Milk Co., Ltd., the company behind Cambodian dairy brand Kirisu, to support its next phase of growth and expansion.

The agreement covers financing facilities and transaction banking services, extending an existing relationship between the lender and the local milk producer. Financial terms, including the size of the facilities and the timetable for expansion, were not disclosed.

Iv Ranarith of RHB Bank and Kirisu Chairman Mao Savin signed the agreement, with management teams from both companies attending.

Financing Kirisu’s Next Phase of Growth

The partnership will provide Kirisu with banking services to support its expanding business, although the announcement did not specify how the financing would be allocated.

“Kirisu represents the ambition and capability of Cambodia’s homegrown businesses. We are proud to be their banking partner and to have supported their growth journey to date,” said Iv Ranarith.

“As they embark on their next phase of expansion, we remain committed to providing the financial solutions to support their ambitions.”

Kirisu operates as a homegrown fresh milk brand serving Cambodia’s domestic market. The agreement places food production among the sectors RHB is targeting as it seeks to grow its corporate and commercial banking business in the country.

RHB Bank (Cambodia), which has operated locally since 2008, offers financing, trade finance, deposits, cash and liquidity management, treasury services and remittances.

Regional Banking Resources

RHB Bank (Cambodia) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia-based RHB Banking Group, which provides services across commercial, wholesale, Islamic and investment banking, alongside asset management and insurance.

According to figures included in the announcement, the group held approximately RM379 billion in total assets as of June 30, 2026. Gross loans stood at RM258 billion, customer deposits at RM268 billion and shareholders’ equity at RM34 billion.

Malaysia’s Employees Provident Fund is the group’s largest shareholder.

Iv Ranarith said the Cambodian operation would draw on its local market knowledge and the wider group’s capabilities to develop financial solutions for businesses as their requirements evolve.

Targeting Food Production and Other Growth Sectors

Beyond its partnership with Kirisu, RHB Bank (Cambodia) identified renewable energy, agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics and healthcare as areas for further business development.

The bank said its financing and investment activities include support for large-scale solar power projects, social bonds, agricultural exporters and manufacturers.

“RHB Banking Group’s commitment to Cambodia is long term. By supporting local businesses and projects that contribute to sustainable development, we aim to help create lasting value for our customers and the wider community,” said Iv Ranarith.

“We look forward to continuing this journey with Kirisu.”
