Cambodians can now pay for a range of vehicle, driving licence and transport-related public services through the ACLEDA Super App, following cooperation between ACLEDA Bank and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

The service allows users to access and pay for selected ministry services digitally without making in-person cash payments, helping simplify administrative procedures involving vehicle ownership, registration, inspection and driving licences.

Phal Sokchamroeun, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of ACLEDA Bank, said integrating public services into the bank’s mobile application enables users to manage a range of transport-related payments through a single digital platform.

The services cover vehicle documentation, driving licences, technical inspections and other transport procedures, helping users save time and reduce the complexity of making payments.

“ACLEDA continues to focus on developing digital services that respond to the needs of customers and the public,” he said. “Providing access to public services through the ACLEDA Super App will make their use and payment easier, faster and more secure.”

Which Public Services Can Be Paid Through the App?

Public services available for payment through the ACLEDA Super App include:

  • Reserving a vehicle licence plate number
  • Vehicle registration
  • Transfer of vehicle ownership
  • Changes to vehicle information
  • Reprinting vehicle documents
  • Driving licence examinations
  • Replacement or reprinting of driving licences
  • Registration of driving schools
  • Issuance of vehicle-registration permits for vehicle dealers
  • Registration of vehicle technical-inspection businesses
  • Payment of penalties for technical inspections overdue by more than 30 days
  • Vehicle technical inspections
  • Applications for vessel entry permits through the Port Electronic Data Interchange system
  • Other eligible public services

Expanding Access to Digital Public Services

The integration forms part of wider efforts to make Cambodia’s public services more accessible through digital payment channels.

Vehicle owners and people seeking services involving driving licences, vehicle registration, ownership transfers or technical inspections can arrange the relevant payments directly through the ACLEDA Super App.

The initiative reduces reliance on cash payments and physical visits while giving users another channel through which to meet their transport-related administrative obligations.

ACLEDA described its Super App as a Cambodian-developed banking application offering a broad range of financial and payment functions. The addition of Ministry of Public Works and Transport services further expands its role as a platform for accessing and paying for essential public services.
