Welcoming a U.S. Trade Delegation to Canadia Tower

Canadia Group recently welcomed a U.S. trade delegation to Canadia Tower during their visit to Cambodia. The delegation was led by H.E. Kim Chha Hout, Honorary Consul General and President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce Representative Office in California.

The visit provided an opportunity for discussions on trade, investment, and potential collaboration between Cambodian and U.S. businesses. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Thierry Tea, Vice President of Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC), followed by exchanges on opportunities across key sectors including education, agriculture, medical services, and Techo International Airport.

The discussions supported ongoing dialogue and idea-sharing, with a shared interest in Cambodia’s economic development priorities. Canadia Group and OCIC look forward to continuing these exchanges and exploring areas of cooperation that support mutually beneficial outcomes.


Strengthening Education Through Partnership

Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) to support education collaboration and community engagement in Cambodia.

Signed by Dr. Kaknika (Nika) Lin, Vice President, Growth & Development at AUPP, and Mr. Ang Enghuy, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of OCIC, the partnership will provide students with internships, career exposure, and hands-on learning opportunities across OCIC’s sectors.

Supporting Community Solidarity Through Collective Action

On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of Victory Day on January 7, Olympia Mall, Sorya Center Point, Rattana Plaza, and The Olympia City project carried out a second donation visit to 7 Makara District.

This initiative was supported by contributions from Canadia Industrial Park and members of the public who donated through the Olympia Charity Foundation booth under the “Olympia Hands for Humanity” campaign. The donations were extended in support of Cambodian soldiers and displaced families across various provinces.

Through collective efforts with partners and the community, OCIC and its affiliated projects continue to support initiatives that promote care, responsibility, and social cohesion.

Supporting Urban Design and Public Space Initiatives

As the project sponsor, Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) supported the Architectural Design Competition for the landmark sculpture and roundabout serving the Koh Pich and Koh Norea areas, which has now advanced to its final Top 10 teams.

The final project defense session was held on January 14, 2026, and was presided over by Her Excellency Sery Soriya, Under Secretary of State and Chairwoman of the Competition Organizing Committee. The competition aims to enhance urban aesthetics and architectural identity within this strategic area, contributing to its role as an important civic and cultural gateway.

Following a review by a panel of nine experts and honorary judges, the top five winning teams will be selected and announced in the coming period. The session was attended by representatives from OCIC, relevant ministries, and public- and private-sector partners, reflecting coordinated efforts in urban development.

Techo International Airport Marks Milestone with Air Cambodia Fleet Arrival

Techo International Airport recently marked an operational milestone with the arrival of Air Cambodia’s ATR72-600 aircraft, alongside the official unveiling of the airline’s new logo and aircraft livery.

The occasion reflects Air Cambodia’s ongoing fleet development and refreshed brand identity, aligned with its long-term operational and growth objectives. It also underscores coordinated efforts between the airport and airline partners to support operational readiness and strengthen Cambodia’s aviation capacity.

Techo International Airport continues to work closely with aviation stakeholders to support safe operations, sustainable growth, and the long-term development of Cambodia’s aviation sector.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Navigating Regional Challenges

On 23 January 2026, H.E. Dr. Santo Darmosumarto, Ambassador of Indonesia to Cambodia, delivered a guest talk at CamTech University titled “Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Navigating Regional Challenges.”

The session reflected the long-standing friendship between Indonesia and Cambodia, which dates back to the Treaty of Friendship in 1959 and the opening of the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh in 1962. In 2024, both countries marked the 65th anniversary of Indonesia–Cambodia diplomatic relations.

Such engagements contribute to ongoing dialogue, mutual understanding, and regional cooperation, reinforcing shared interests in stability, cultural exchange, and long-term partnership.

Hosting Regional Sports and Student Engagement at CIS

From January 15–17, Canadian International School of Phnom Penh (CIS) was pleased to host the ASEAN Sports and Activities Conference (ASAC) at its Koh Pich campus.

The event brought together international schools from across the region for a weekend of sportsmanship, healthy competition, and team collaboration. CIS teams demonstrated strong commitment and preparation throughout the conference, with notable performances across multiple sports—including the girls’ team, which secured first place. ????

Events such as ASAC reflect CIS’s ongoing commitment to holistic education, fostering teamwork, resilience, and regional connection beyond the classroom.
