For five years, Women Empower Her, an annual initiative of AmCham Cambodia’s Women’s Committee, has brought together emerging professionals and experienced business leaders through mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and meaningful professional connections.
Marking its fifth year since its first cohort launched in 2022, the program continues to create a space where mentees can learn from real-world experiences, gain practical insights, and develop relationships that can support their professional and career growth.
Diverse professional and business backgrounds
At the heart of Women Empower Her is the mentor–mentee relationship. Mentors from diverse professional and business backgrounds—including both men and women—share their experiences, perspectives, and lessons learned throughout their careers. Mentees, in turn, bring their own ambitions, questions, and perspectives, creating an exchange that benefits both sides.
For mentees, the program provides an opportunity to engage directly with experienced professionals, gain a better understanding of the business environment, explore career pathways, and build confidence through meaningful conversations. For mentors, it is an opportunity to share knowledge, give back to the community, and contribute to the development of the next generation of talent.
Beyond the individual mentor–mentee relationship, Women Empower Her reflects AmCham Cambodia’s broader role in creating platforms that connect emerging talent with the business community. Through its committees, events, and programs, AmCham provides opportunities for young professionals to meet business leaders, exchange ideas, expand their networks, and gain practical perspectives that may not be found in a classroom or workplace alone.

The fifth year of Women Empower Her highlights the value of maintaining these connections over time. Professional development is not only about gaining technical knowledge; it is also about having access to people who can share experiences, offer different perspectives, provide guidance, and help others navigate their own career journeys.
Through Women Empower Her, the Women’s Committee continues to create a platform where experience meets ambition—bringing together established professionals and emerging talent to learn from one another, build relationships, and contribute to a stronger and more connected business community in Cambodia.
