In 2017, a garment factory on the southern edge of Phnom Penh unveiled an unlikely transformation. What was once the LEVI’S jeans and Speedo swimming suits manufacturing site evolved to be Cambodia’s largest Creative Hub: a place where entrepreneurs, artists, startups, multinational companies and communities came together under one roof.
Nearly a decade later, Factory Phnom Penh is now preparing for its next main building evolution.
In August 2026, the destination will be unveiling a renewed vision that expands beyond traditional workspaces. The next chapter brings together innovative spaces, creative retail, entertainment, lifestyle experiences and community engagement into one integrated ecosystem designed around the way people live, work and connect today.
This evolution reflects a broader shift in how businesses operate. Modern entrepreneurs no longer seek only office space; they look for environments that inspire collaboration, attract talent, create opportunities and foster meaningful connections. Factory Phnom Penh’s new vision is designed to answer this need.
Since its inception in 2017, Factory Phnom Penh has grown into a 76,000-square-metre campus that has welcomed more than 700 startups and established companies while hosting thousands of community activities. Corporate conferences, creative markets, charity initiatives, concerts, sporting events and innovation programmes have all contributed to building a destination that is active every day rather than only during business hours.
Dr. Ben Li, Chairman and Co-founder of Urban Village and Factory Phnom Penh, said:
“Factory Phnom Penh has always been about bringing ambitious people together. When entrepreneurs, creatives and businesses share the same environment, innovation happens naturally. Our 2026 chapter is about creating even more opportunities for companies, local brands and investors who believe in Cambodia’s long-term future.”

The 2026 transformation builds on this foundation through upgraded office solutions, refreshed shared spaces, new creative retail opportunities, event-ready venues and stronger accessibility from Hun Sen Boulevard. Visitors can work, meet clients, discover local brands, enjoy entertainment and participate in community events within a single destination.
That vision is already reflected in the diversity of businesses operating across the campus. Cambodian brands such as Toto by Chichi and Boca Boca will be opening alongside the on-site international and renowned brands AEON Mall, Starbucks, KOI Thé, Fable Cinema by Legend, Pickelplay, Khmer Times, uCare Pharmacy, Urban Hub VR Games, while entrepreneurs continue to benefit from an ecosystem where visibility, collaboration and community naturally intersect.
Throughout 2026, Factory Phnom Penh continued to demonstrate its role as one of Cambodia’s leading event destinations with the recent dates being PRIDE Fest, INNEXpo 2026, International Jazz Day, Run The Night by Pocari Sweat and SipSip Fest 2026, attracting thousands of visitors, creating valuable opportunities for businesses and creators.
Hem Chansopheak, owner at Urban Village explained:
“Being based here is what has helped us to build the foundations of successful Events. This through constant exposure to new collaborators and creatives. It is more than office spaces, it is a binding community.”
Located between Hun Sen Boulevard and National Road 2, and supported by the continued development surrounding the Techo International Airport (KTI), Urban Village and Factory Phnom Penh are increasingly positioned at the heart of Phnom Penh’s southern growth corridor. Combined with the neighbouring communities, office tenants and daily visitors, the destination consistently welcomes approximately 1,500 visitors per day on weekdays and weekends.
Dr. Catherine Chan, CEO and Co-founder of Urban Village and Factory Phnom Penh, added:
“The future of cities is no longer about separating work from lifestyle. People want places where they can work, shop, attend events, discover new ideas and enjoy everyday life in one destination. That is the community and the convenience we strive to keep building at Factory Phnom Penh.”

More than a physical transformation, Factory Phnom Penh’s next chapter reflects Cambodia’s growing entrepreneurial economy. As startups, SMEs and international companies continue investing in the Kingdom, the creative hub aims to provide an environment where ideas become businesses, local brands reach new audiences and innovation continues to thrive.
A tenant in Factory Phnom Penh, shared:
“Many of our partnerships began simply by meeting people across the campus. This environment of passionate creatives is difficult to replicate elsewhere. Now I have a meeting with my neighbor next door!”
Nine years after redefining what a former factory could become, Factory Phnom Penh is once again reinventing itself. Not simply as a place to work, but as a destination where businesses grow, communities gather and Cambodia’s next generation of ideas takes shape.
