Cambodia Investment Review
PPCBank and Prudential Cambodia have announced the renewal of their strategic partnership with a new five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), continuing a joint effort that has significantly expanded access to life insurance in Cambodia since its inception in April 2020.
The anniversary and renewal were commemorated at a special event held at the Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh, attended by senior leaders from both companies, valued partners, and customers. The occasion underscored their shared commitment to strengthening financial resilience for Cambodian families and supporting national development goals through insurance accessibility and innovation.
A Growing Partnership Benefiting Cambodian Families
Over the past five years, the partnership has delivered life insurance solutions to more than 1,000 customers and facilitated USD 25,000 in claim payments. These services have provided critical financial protection to families and individuals across Cambodia, especially as awareness and demand for insurance products continue to grow.
PPCBank President Lee Jin Young said the extended agreement reflected the success of the initial collaboration. “Over the past five years, we have made a tangible difference in the lives of our customers, and this next chapter enables us to expand offerings, leverage innovative solutions, and continue supporting Cambodian families with financial protection,” he said.
Recent improvements include integrating Prudential’s insurance payment function into the PPCBank mobile app, simplifying policy management for users and making insurance services more accessible than ever before.

Advancing Financial Literacy and Insurance Expertise
Beyond providing financial products, the partnership has focused on improving financial literacy across Cambodia and supporting the development of local insurance professionals. Through joint initiatives, PPCBank and Prudential Cambodia have aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of life insurance, while also building the capacity of their consultant network.
“We are thrilled to celebrate five successful years with PPCBank,” said Ponlu Tola, CEO of Prudential Cambodia. “This renewed MoU solidifies our commitment to empowering Cambodian families and delivering peace of mind through accessible and reliable financial protection.”
He added that the renewed collaboration is not just about extending services, but also about fulfilling a broader mission. “Every policy we provide is more than a product—it’s a promise of resilience, security, and brighter futures,” he said.

Looking to the Future
As PPCBank and Prudential Cambodia embark on the next phase of their partnership, both institutions reaffirmed their long-term vision of delivering inclusive financial solutions and creating a stronger safety net for Cambodian households.
The extension of the MoU also aligns with broader trends in Cambodia’s financial sector, where increased digital adoption and growing interest in long-term financial planning have positioned insurance as a critical tool for national economic resilience.
With both companies committed to innovation and financial inclusion, the renewed partnership is expected to play an even more prominent role in shaping Cambodia’s insurance landscape in the years ahead.
