Smart Axiata, Cambodia’s leading telecommunications company, and PPCBank, one of the country’s most prominent commercial banks, have signed an exclusive partnership deal to provide Smart Traveller SIMs as a complimentary product, in addition to the bank’s services to international tourists and investors, at every bank branch.
The partnership marks the first collaboration between Smart and PPCBank and will improve both companies’ market reach and penetration. Smart Chief Executive Officer Ziad Shatara expressed his optimism at the commencement of the partnership.

The partnership will see the introduction of numerous benefits for prospective subscribers. Once rolled out, visitors will be able to easily obtain a complimentary Smart Traveller SIM at any PPCBank branch. They can then complete self-registration on their device through Smart’s SIM Card Registration website and purchase balance via the PPCBank Mobile app. PPCBank staff will be on hand to render assistance if needed by any customer.
Rates as low as 3 cents per minute
With a Smart Traveller SIM, subscribers can enjoy international call rates as low as three cents per minute. In addition to the standard package, customers will also have access to an abundance of services and data packages, and they will be able to stay connected in more than 170 countries in Asia and Europe with SmartRoam. Subscribers can easily switch to other plans, subscribe to services and manage their account in the SmartNas mobile app too.
