Myanmar’s JobNet Presents to Cambodian Business Delegation, Eyes Cambodia Launch

Myanmar Investment Review

JobNet Group, a leading operator of job portals and online e-recruitment platforms in Myanmar, presented its technology solutions to a visiting Cambodian business delegation in Yangon last week, highlighting its role in the country’s evolving HR technology landscape and plans to launch operations in Cambodia in the near future.

The session was led by Justin Sway, CEO and Founder of JobNet Group, who walked the delegation through the company’s digital recruitment tools, platform performance, and engagement with both white-collar and mass-market job segments. The presentation formed part of a broader trade mission aimed at exploring cross-border business and investment opportunities between Cambodia and Myanmar.

A Focus on Digital Hiring Tools

Founded in 2015, JobNet Group runs two core platforms: JobNet.com.mm, focused on professional and white-collar roles, and Alote.com.mm, designed for entry-level and blue/grey-collar recruitment.

Both platforms are widely used across Myanmar, with:

  • Over 700,000 monthly visitors
  • More than 1 million CVs in the database
  • 2,000+ companies served across 15 countries

JobNet.com.mm has become a primary channel for hiring across corporate sectors, while Alote.com.mm targets roles in services, logistics, manufacturing, and retail. Both platforms are mobile-first and available in English and Myanmar language, improving accessibility across job seeker groups.

Integrated Recruitment Software

JobNet Group’s offering includes more than job listings. Its suite of recruitment and HR management tools includes:

  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Used to manage applications, screen candidates, and track recruitment processes.
  • CV Database Access: Employers can directly access and contact over 500,000 active profiles.
  • Talent CRM: Helps employers build and manage their own internal candidate pools for future hiring.
  • Salary Survey Tool: Provides compensation benchmarking based on data from 100 companies and 3,000+ data points.
  • Recruitment Reports: Offers employers a consolidated view of hiring metrics, candidate engagement, and usage.

These tools are aimed at improving recruitment efficiency and providing more transparency in the hiring process.

Market Engagement and Branding Tools

JobNet also offers tools for employer branding. Through features like “Logos on all Jobseeker Profiles,” companies can increase visibility directly within user dashboards. Brands already using this include Coca-Cola, Prudential, Heineken, KBZ Bank, and JTI.

The company is also the founding sponsor of the Myanmar Employer Awards, which recognize HR practices and are held annually since 2017.

Cambodia Launch on the Horizon

During the presentation, Justin Sway shared that JobNet Group is preparing to expand into Cambodia, aiming to introduce its platforms and technology to support hiring in a market that is seeing increasing demand for professional recruitment solutions.

The Cambodia launch is expected to follow the model already implemented in Myanmar, with tools adapted to meet local market needs.
