Cambodia Investment Review
Phnom Penh’s real estate sector saw a strong show of confidence this week as developers, consultants, contractors, investors, and suppliers gathered at the G.A.T.O Tower showroom in BKK1 for the first real estate networking event of 2026 hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia Real Estate & Construction Committee.
The event, held in partnership with MIRAKU Capital & Development and LBL International Construction, brought together a broad cross-section of Cambodia’s property industry amid continued discussions around market recovery, buyer demand, and the future direction of premium urban developments in Phnom Penh.
Tom O’Sullivan, Head of the AmCham Real Estate & Construction Committee, said the strong attendance reflected continued engagement across the sector despite ongoing market pressures.
“Last night saw a huge turnout for the first American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia real estate event of the year,” he said. “While market conditions remain challenging, there continues to be strong demand for well-priced, centrally located condominium projects backed by quality developers.”
He added that the turnout highlighted continued interest and confidence in Phnom Penh’s condominium segment, particularly projects positioned around quality, location, and long-term value.

G.A.T.O Tower Positioned as Major Landmark Development
The event also served as a showcase for the recently launched G.A.T.O Tower project, which is expected to become one of Cambodia’s tallest buildings once completed.
Located on Street 334 at the corner of Norodom Boulevard in BKK1, the development is planned to rise 297 meters across 67 floors and will combine 472 residential units with a 224-room five-star hotel. Construction is scheduled to begin in June 2026, with completion targeted for the fourth quarter of 2030.
Reasey Nhim, Founder and CEO of MIRAKU Capital & Development, said the event allowed potential investors and industry stakeholders to better understand the project’s long-term vision.
“It was a pleasure to partner with AmCham and host this event at the G.A.T.O Tower showroom following the recent launch of the project,” he said. “G.A.T.O Tower has been designed to offer a high-quality, centrally located development that responds to the evolving needs of Phnom Penh’s modern residents and investors.”
The project is being developed through a collaboration between MIRAKU Capital & Development, LBL International Construction, and Wise, LBL’s design division. Wise is leading architectural coordination and engineering development, while the concept façade and architectural vision were created by renowned Japanese architect Shin Takamatsu.

Construction Partnership Formalized Ahead of Groundbreaking
LBL International Construction recently formally confirmed its role as the project’s main construction partner under a design-and-build arrangement.
The partnership between LBL International and MIRAKU Capital & Development began in November 2025 through an initial design agreement that laid the groundwork for the broader development strategy now moving into the construction phase.

Jérôme Luciani-Khao, Deputy Managing Director of LBL International Construction in Cambodia, said the scale of attendance reflected continued willingness across the industry to support Cambodia’s evolving real estate market.

“I was impressed to see so many people attending this event, representing suppliers, consultants, real estate specialists, developers, and contractors,” he said. “It also highlighted that for all major developments, the quality of design, uniqueness, and quality of construction should now be key considerations.”
The first visible milestone for the project was completed in February 2026 with the delivery of the G.A.T.O Tower sales gallery, which was completed by LBL International under a design-and-build contract in under two months.
LBL International Construction describes itself as a French-Cambodian construction company with more than 30 years of experience across Southeast Asia, focusing on high-end residential, hospitality, embassy, infrastructure, and commercial developments.
