The countdown is on for the 5th Red Hornet Chairman’s Cup (RHCC) – Golf for a Cause, which tees off on Friday, 29 November 2024 at Cambodia’s newest golfing destination, Chhun On Golf Course. This year’s tournament is set to be the biggest, most diverse, and most exciting edition yet, bringing together over 90 golfers of varying skill levels for a memorable day of camaraderie, networking, and giving back.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Kantha Bopha Foundation, continuing the RHCC’s proud tradition of supporting meaningful causes. The evening’s prize presentation dinner is expected to draw over 120 guests, including non-golfers, cementing the event as a key occasion on Cambodia’s social and business calendar.
This year’s RHCC is defined by a series of firsts. It’s the only social golf tournament in Cambodia to include both individual and team segments. Additionally, it has attracted participants from 16 nationalities, surpassing last year’s record of 12, making this year’s tournament the most diverse yet. For the first time, the tournament will feature THREE hole-in-one prizes: a studio apartment, a golf buggy and a set of golf clubs. It is also the first time that registration had to be closed early due to safety, capacity, and comfort considerations for participants and guests – and what is remarkable is that this over-subscription is occurring amid a challenging business climate.
The continued participation of golfers and non-golfers from the local and international business communities, as well as the host government and diplomatic corps, reflects the RHCC’s inclusive spirit and enduring appeal. The tournament also owes much to the generous contributions of its sponsors, whose steadfast support has ensured its growth and ability to create a meaningful impact year after year.
