ABA Bank, Cambodia’s largest commercial bank, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) to establish a long-term partnership focused on athlete development and the advancement of national sports.

Under this strategic collaboration, ABA will support the NOCC’s fundraising campaign for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, aimed at creating a sustainable and transparent platform for collecting financial contributions to support Cambodian athletes in their preparation and participation.

Exclusive Payment Gateway

As part of the partnership, ABA will serve as the exclusive payment gateway for the fundraising initiative, providing a secure and efficient channel for public donations. Both parties will also jointly promote the campaign across their digital platforms to increase awareness, encourage participation, and maximize outreach nationwide.

Cambodia’s participation in the Olympic Games represents more than competition – it reflects the country’s resilience, progress, and growing presence on the international sporting stage. The LA 2028 Games mark another important milestone in this journey, requiring early preparation, stable funding, and coordinated support.

The MoU signing ceremony took place on 19 January 2026. It was attended by Zhiger Atchabarov, Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer of ABA Bank, and H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, along with representatives from both organizations.

Commitment To Supporting National Sports

Commenting on the partnership, Zhiger Atchabarov said: “Partnering with the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia reflects ABA Bank’s continued commitment to supporting national sports, in line with our CSR framework.
