Cambodia Investment Review
ACLEDA Bank Plc., is strengthening its digital lending offering with an instant salary loan solution available directly through the ACLEDA Super App, allowing eligible payroll account holders to access funds immediately without visiting a branch.
In an environment where unexpected cash flow needs can arise at any time — whether for daily household expenses or short-term business liquidity — the bank’s new feature aims to provide a fast and convenient financing option for salaried employees in both public and private institutions.
Instant Access for Payroll Account Holders
The salary loan is a personal-use credit facility that can be requested directly through the ACLEDA Super App, using the customer’s payroll account as collateral. The structure is similar to an early salary advance service but operates as a formalized digital loan product.
Eligible customers can borrow from KHR 400,000 ($100) up to KHR 40 million ($10,000), or the equivalent in U.S. dollars. Repayment is automatically deducted when the borrower’s salary is credited into their account, according to a predefined repayment schedule. This automated mechanism reduces the risk of missed payments and minimizes administrative inconvenience for customers.
By integrating the product into its mobile banking ecosystem, ACLEDA eliminates the need for physical documentation or in-branch processing, reinforcing its broader strategy to digitize retail banking services across Cambodia.

Strong Customer Uptake and Digital Convenience
According to Vice President and Deputy Head of the Marketing Division at ACLEDA Bank Plc, both the early salary advance and salary loan services have received strong customer support.
He noted that customers value the ability to apply directly through the Super App, saving time and avoiding the need to travel to a branch. The streamlined, paperless process has positioned the product as a practical financial tool for addressing short-term liquidity pressures while helping customers better manage personal finances.
The bank views the service as part of a wider effort to ease financial stress related to urgent cash needs and to provide responsible, structured access to credit within a regulated banking framework.
Expanding Cambodia’s Digital Banking Ecosystem
ACLEDA continues to prioritize customer-centric innovation, focusing on faster, more accessible and user-friendly financial services. The salary loan offering forms part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at supporting financial inclusion and strengthening personal financial management among Cambodians.
The ACLEDA Super App currently serves more than five million users and has become one of Cambodia’s most widely adopted digital banking platforms. Popular features include KHQR scan payments, domestic and international transfers, tax payments, utility bill settlement, mobile top-ups, loan applications and a range of other modern financial services.
As Cambodia’s digital economy continues to expand, ACLEDA’s integrated lending solution reflects the increasing role of mobile-first banking in meeting everyday financial needs and supporting household liquidity management across the Kingdom.
