A Year Defined by External Pressures

The 2026 edition follows a period of regional and global volatility. Headline GDP growth is expected to remain around 4% in both 2025 and 2026, slower than pre-pandemic highs but resilient amid global trade uncertainty.

Cambodia’s exports to the United States remained comparatively strong despite renewed tariff discussions, while Thailand–Cambodia border tensions in 2025 created logistical disruptions for companies reliant on cross-border transport. Supply chain recalibration, higher transportation costs and tourism sensitivity required firms to adjust strategies and manage risk more carefully.

Against this backdrop, many of the leaders featured in this year’s review demonstrated operational discipline and long-term commitment, reinforcing the importance of diversification, compliance and strategic planning.

The 50 International Voices list spans senior executives in banking and capital markets, founders in manufacturing and construction, leaders in hospitality and healthcare, and innovators driving digital transformation and impact investment.

Several featured leaders are also active in chamber boards, policy working groups and advisory councils, contributing to dialogue around trade, financial regulation, sustainability and digital development. The breadth of representation underscores the role international executives continue to play in strengthening Cambodia’s institutional and commercial ecosystem.

As Cambodia works toward its 2030 upper-middle-income target, industry collaboration and ecosystem engagement remain central themes throughout the publication.

Editor’s Perspective

Harrison White, Editor of the Cambodia Leadership Review and CEO of CIR Media, said the third edition reflects a market that continues to mature despite external pressures.

“This year’s edition is both recognition and reflection,” White said. “We have 50 leaders from 20 different nationalities represented, and 24 in-depth interviews that go beyond business performance to explore leadership mindset, resilience and long-term strategy.”

He added that the growing engagement from executives signals increasing confidence in Cambodia’s trajectory.

“These leaders are not only operating businesses — they are helping shape industry standards, governance discussions and investment narratives. Cambodia continues to attract individuals who see opportunity beyond short-term volatility.”

While external risks remain, cautious optimism defines the outlook among many of the executives featured. Manufacturing and exports are expected to remain core growth engines, with greater focus on value-added production and supply chain resilience. Domestic consumption is projected to strengthen gradually, supported by urbanization and demographic trends.
