Cambodian Association of Finance and Technology (CAFT) has formally launched the CamTech Summit 2021 Powered by Prudential virtual financial technology festival .
The summit is a five-day hybrid fintech event that will be showcasing Cambodia’s FinTech and Tech Landscape through inclusiveness which will be held on November 8-12.
This event is organized by the Cambodian Association of Finance and Technology in cooperation with the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) and Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) and is one of the 11 partner cities for World Fintech Festival on November 11-12.
Speaking at the launch Dr. Chea Vandeth Ministry of Posts and Telecoms told the virtual audience that the even was showcase emerging and accelerating FinTech sector adding the COVID 19 pandemic has increased the adoption of digital way of life.
He added, that the recently launched Digital Economy and Social Policy Framework of Cambodia 2021-2035 will assist Cambodian private and public sectors such as developing national data centers and cloud-based capabilities.
Remi Pell, Chairman of CAFT said in his keynote speech this year’s event held in conjunction with the World Tech Festival & Singapore FinTech Festival will inclusively showcase Cambodia’s emerging and accelerating Fintech and Tech sectors.
“It will also provide a great opportunity to have an in-depth discussion about the current digital revolution of Cambodia’s financial and technology industries across multiple cities and industries in the Kingdom of Cambodia,” Remi said.
“In summary, this year’s festival should be used to both educate and encourage more investment in Cambodia’s digital revolution and showcase the very best of local Cambodian FinTech companies on the international stage,” he added.
The first day will feature a showcase of tourism and tech in Siem Reap, second-day real estate and tech in Sihanoukville and third-day agriculture, tech and trade-in Battambang.
Day four and five will continue in Phnom Penh, a partner city to World Fintech Festival 2021, with live sessions broadcasted in more than 40 countries including Singapore.
CamTech Summit will be broadcast locally for free on CAFT as well as relevant partner pages and internationally through the World FinTech Festival stage.
The summit has been designed to gain global impact, promote Cambodia’s technological advances and to spread expert-sourced information to the public, private sectors, and businesses in the Kingdom.
