Cambodia Investment Review
Members of the former Singapore Club Cambodia (SCC) and the Singapore Business Investment Forum (SBIF) have formally approved a strategic merger, creating a new unified organization known as the Singapore-Cambodia Connection and electing Albert Tan as its first president.
The decision was confirmed during a combined Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking the consolidation of the two long-standing organizations into a single entity designed to serve both the business and social interests of Singaporeans and the wider Singapore-Cambodia community.
The newly adopted name, Singapore-Cambodia Connection, was introduced following the merger and reflects the organization’s broader mission of fostering stronger commercial, professional, and community ties between Singapore and Cambodia. The name replaces Singapore Club Cambodia and is intended to better represent the combined business and social networks brought together through the merger.
Members voted unanimously to approve the merger, new governance structure, and incoming leadership team.
A key feature of the new structure is the establishment of industry-focused sub-committees, aimed at strengthening engagement across key sectors of the economy while providing members with more targeted networking and collaboration opportunities.

The newly elected executive committee comprises:
- President: Albert Tan
- Vice-President: Yeong Hock Ming
- Treasurer: Jeffrey Chew
- Secretary: Ryan Auber
The AGM was attended by 60 of the organization’s 75 members, demonstrating strong support for the merger and the creation of the new organization.
By combining the networks, resources, and expertise of both SCC and SBIF, the Singapore-Cambodia Connection aims to strengthen its ability to support members, facilitate business opportunities, and build a more connected community between Singapore and Cambodia.
The organization said the merger positions it to play a larger role in promoting investment, professional networking, cultural exchange, and community engagement, while serving as a unified platform for Singaporeans and Singapore-linked businesses operating in Cambodia.
