Cambodia Investment Review
Masswork has officially signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Yangtze Automotive, marking a strategic milestone in Cambodia’s growing push toward modern and sustainable urban infrastructure solutions.
Under the agreement, Masswork will serve as the exclusive distributor for Yangtze Automotive’s range of electric commercial and municipal vehicles in Cambodia, supporting sectors such as public transportation, sanitation, environmental services, and urban maintenance.
One Of China’s Long-Established Commercial Vehicle Manufacturers
With a heritage dating back almost a century, Yangtze Automotive is recognized as one of China’s long-established commercial vehicle manufacturers. Over the decades, the company has evolved alongside China’s industrial development and today focuses primarily on electric commercial vehicle solutions designed for modern cities and public service operations.
Unlike many manufacturers that operate across mixed fuel categories, Yangtze Automotive has strategically focused its development on electric-powered commercial and municipal vehicles, positioning itself within China’s broader transition toward greener and lower-emission urban transportation systems.
The company’s product ecosystem includes:
- Electric public buses
- Electric garbage collection trucks
- Electric road sweeping and cleaning vehicles
- Municipal hygiene and sanitation vehicles
- Specialized urban utility vehicles
- Smart city operational support fleets

Yangtze Automotive’s equipment and vehicles are widely utilized across various municipal and government-linked operations in Hubei Province, reflecting the company’s established presence and operational credibility within China’s public service and municipal ecosystem.
The partnership comes at a time when Cambodia is increasingly exploring sustainable urban development solutions, particularly in areas related to environmental management, city cleanliness, public transportation modernization, and smart city infrastructure.
The Future Of Urban Development
Speaking on the collaboration, Masswork emphasized that the future of urban development is no longer centered solely around construction, but equally around operational efficiency and sustainable municipal systems.
“As Cambodia’s cities continue to grow, the demand for cleaner, more efficient, and modern municipal solutions will become increasingly important. Our partnership with Yangtze Automotive represents more than vehicle distribution — it is about bringing practical electric mobility and municipal support systems that can contribute to cleaner and more sustainable urban environments.”
The agreement is also expected to pave the way for future cooperation in technical servicing, local support capabilities, operator training, and the potential expansion of electric municipal fleet deployment across Cambodia.
The collaboration between Masswork and Yangtze Automotive reflects a shared vision of supporting urban modernization while aligning with broader regional trends toward sustainability, clean energy transition, and smarter municipal operations.
