Cambodia Investment Review
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (CanCham Cambodia) will host its flagship Canada Day Celebration Fair on Saturday, June 21, at Connexion on Koh Pich, Phnom Penh. Running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the event is open to the public and is expected to attract hundreds of participants from across the city’s expatriate and local communities.
Designed as a family-friendly event that blends community engagement with summer festivities, the Canada Day Fair is considered CanCham’s largest annual gathering. Organizers have positioned it as a key seasonal event for both leisure and informal networking, particularly for expatriates, business owners, and families preparing for the mid-year break.
A Full-Day Program Supporting Community and Commerce
Set in a green, naturally ventilated venue near Trellion Park, the fair will feature a mix of entertainment and retail offerings aimed at both adults and children. The program includes live dance performances, music, face painting, a giant bouncy castle, and a supervised kids’ play area. In addition, food carts and artisanal vendors will be onsite, with a particular focus on serving expatriates looking to purchase last-minute gifts or souvenirs ahead of their summer travel.
“This event is truly for everyone—families, expats, and locals alike,” said Emily Yu, Chairwoman of CanCham Cambodia. “We’re excited to bring together the community for a day of Canadian spirit, great food, and unforgettable entertainment.”
Vendors are expected to include both Canadian-linked businesses and local Cambodian enterprises, providing a unique platform for SMEs to reach Phnom Penh’s growing international community. While the event focuses on celebration, it also presents commercial opportunities for member businesses and sponsors to engage with potential customers in a casual setting.
Event Access and Pricing
The Canada Day Celebration Fair is open to the general public with tiered pricing to ensure inclusivity. General admission is set at 10,000 riel for adults and 5,000 riel for those under 18, while children under five and CanCham members may enter free of charge. Tickets will be available for purchase at the venue entrance.
CanCham Cambodia is encouraging attendees to follow updates and announcements via its official Facebook page.
Strengthening Canadian-Cambodian Relations
Founded as a non-profit association, CanCham Cambodia plays an important role in fostering business ties and community-building efforts among Canadian professionals and entrepreneurs in the Kingdom. The Chamber has expanded its focus in recent years to include engagement with a broader network of international professionals who share an interest in Canadian business culture and collaboration.
Membership in the Chamber is open to all nationalities, and events such as the Canada Day Celebration Fair are part of a wider initiative to enhance visibility, cultural exchange, and community participation.
