Vattanac Golf Resort will host two consecutive weeks of international tournament golf this November and December, expanding Cambodia’s presence on the global sporting calendar while supporting the country’s ambitions in luxury tourism and destination branding.
The program will begin with the Vattanac Legends Championship from November 23–29, 2026, followed by the Legends Tour season finale, the Vattanac Tour Championship, from November 30 to December 6.
The expanded schedule follows Cambodia’s inaugural Legends Tour event in 2025 and will bring Major champions, Ryder Cup captains and other international golf stars back to Phnom Penh.
Organized in partnership with Vattanac Group, the two-week event is expected to combine professional competition with Pro-Am tournaments, sponsor activities, charity initiatives and opportunities for government leaders, corporate representatives and amateur golfers to participate.
Cambodia Builds On Successful 2025 Tournament
Vattanac Golf Resort said the decision to host two consecutive tournaments reflects the momentum generated by last year’s event, which received international broadcast coverage across Europe, Asia and other markets.

Scotland’s David Drysdale won the main 2025 championship on the resort’s East Course, while South Africa’s Darren Fichardt claimed victory in the Legacy Edition on the West Course.
The tournament provided Cambodia with an opportunity to showcase its tourism infrastructure, hospitality industry and capacity to host major international sporting events.
Neak Oknha Sam Ang Vattanac, Executive Director of Vattanac Group, said the partnership was intended to deliver benefits extending beyond professional golf.
“Our partnership with the Legends Tour is about much more than bringing some of the greatest names in golf to Cambodia,” he said.

Golf Tourism Takes Larger Role In Cambodia’s Destination Strategy
The Legends Tour is a professional golf circuit featuring prominent players aged 50 and above, including former Major champions and Ryder Cup competitors.
Hosting the tour’s season finale gives Cambodia a high-profile position within its international calendar and could help attract overseas visitors, corporate sponsors and golf tourism operators.
Phil Harrison, CEO of the Legends Tour, said the tour’s first visit to Phnom Penh was among the highlights of its 2025 season.
“Our players and international delegation were blown away by the pristine quality of the courses and the exceptional hospitality,” Harrison said.
He said the addition of a second tournament demonstrated Cambodia’s rapid development as a golf tourism destination and reflected the international standard established by Vattanac Golf Resort.
The two-week format could also generate broader economic activity across hotels, restaurants, transportation providers and other tourism-related businesses as players, officials, sponsors and visitors arrive in Phnom Penh.
Championship Courses Showcase Khmer Heritage
Located in Phnom Penh, Vattanac Golf Resort features two championship courses—the East Course and West Course—designed by six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo.
The resort is managed by international golf and hospitality company Troon Golf and combines tournament-standard facilities with replicas of Khmer architectural and cultural landmarks integrated throughout the landscape.
Vattanac Group said the development was designed to present Cambodian heritage within a modern international sporting environment.
