Cambodia Investment Review
Cambodia’s technology ecosystem took a significant step forward as entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, developers and policymakers gathered at Factory Phnom Penh for Cambodia Tech Sprint Day, officially launching the six-month ‘Powered by Cambodia’ campaign aimed at strengthening the Kingdom’s homegrown digital economy.
Organised by B2B Asia News, the initiative seeks to promote Cambodian-built technology, encourage collaboration across the public and private sectors, and boost confidence in locally developed digital solutions.
The opening event combined practical digital skills training with technology showcases, highlighting the country’s growing pipeline of startups and digital businesses while laying out an ambitious roadmap of industry events through the remainder of the campaign.

Anthony Galliano, Director of B2B Asia News, said Cambodia’s digital economy is increasingly being built by local innovators developing technology for businesses and consumers across the country.
“When we first conceptualised Powered By Cambodia, we asked ourselves a fundamental question: What does the future of the Kingdom’s digital economy look like, and who is building it?” Galliano said.
“Through Powered By Cambodia, we are stepping up to champion locally built technology, digital infrastructure, cloud solutions, and e-commerce platforms.”
Building Practical Digital Skills
The day began with a series of specialist workshops focused on improving digital literacy and practical business capabilities.
Industry experts from BKD Academy, 2080 Ventures, and PharmKulen delivered sessions covering everyday digital skills, startup ideation, vibe coding, and practical AI applications for small businesses, providing participants with tools that can be immediately applied in their organisations.

The afternoon programme shifted towards business networking, with more than 20 Cambodian technology companies, startups and SMEs exhibiting their products and services through a Tech Marketplace.
An Innovation Showcase also featured presentations from ten Cambodian technology innovators demonstrating locally developed digital solutions for businesses and consumers.
Roadmap Focuses on Digital Infrastructure and Talent
As the first event under the six-month initiative, Cambodia Tech Sprint Day launched a broader programme of engagements designed to strengthen Cambodia’s digital ecosystem. Upcoming events include:
- Cambodia Data Trust Lab – Exploring local data centres, cloud infrastructure and Cambodia’s ability to manage and protect its own data.
- My Digital Cambodia – Showcasing locally developed digital tools, applications and services used in everyday life.
- Cambodia Digital Sovereignty – A public-private dialogue bringing together ministers, policymakers and industry leaders to discuss Cambodia’s digital future.
- Cambodia Digital Talent Launchpad – A live coding competition aimed at developing and showcasing Cambodia’s next generation of software engineers.
- Powered by Cambodia Experience Exhibition – A closing exhibition highlighting the campaign’s achievements, innovations and success stories.
The campaign is supported by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), the Capacity Building and Research and Development (CBRD) Fund, and Khmer Enterprise, with the goal of connecting technology founders with investors, corporations and policymakers while showcasing Cambodia’s expanding digital capabilities.
Organisers said the initiative aims to demonstrate that locally developed digital solutions can address domestic business challenges while positioning Cambodian technology companies for regional expansion.

Closing the event, Sarvinoz Nuritdinova, CEO of B2B Asia News, said the campaign is intended to build long-term momentum for Cambodia’s digital ecosystem rather than serve as a standalone event.
“Today, we were able to see the future of Cambodian technology in action,” she said.
“Cambodia Tech Sprint Day was just the first step in this six-month digital confidence journey. We have officially set the momentum for the Powered By Cambodia campaign in motion.”
