CBRE Cambodia Reverts to Advantage Property Services in 2026, Ending Longstanding Affiliation

Cambodia Investment Review

After nearly two decades as one of Cambodia’s leading international real estate advisory firm, CBRE Cambodia has announced it will transition to an independent entity under its registered legal name, Advantage Property Services Co. Ltd., effective January 1, 2026. The decision follows what the company describes as a global corporate restructuring, ending its CBRE affiliate license after 17 years of operation in Phnom Penh.

No Disruption to Clients or Contracts

The company confirmed that all existing client contracts remain fully valid, with the same legal entity and operational structure in place. Its 80-member local team will continue to deliver advisory, valuation, and brokerage services without interruption.

The brand first started working in 1994 and formally launched in their Phnom Penh office in 2008, CBRE Cambodia was the first international real estate services firm to open in the Kingdom. Over the years, it has become a trusted market leader in property consultancy, project management, and investment advisory.

When asked by Cambodia Investment Review whether the withdrawal was linked to reputational concerns surrounding scam center operations and anti-money laundering issues in Cambodia, the company responded that the decision was not related to such matters, stressing that it was solely due to internal corporate restructuring within CBRE’s global network.

Leadership Emphasizes Agility and Growth

Managing Director Kinkesa Kim said the shift represents a new phase of innovation and independence.
“Our team remains fully intact and as dedicated as ever to delivering high-quality service,” she said. “This move gives us the agility to explore new ideas, partnerships, and market opportunities while tailoring solutions to Cambodia’s unique business environment. We’re excited to build upon our long-standing client relationships under our original registered name.”

She added that a new logo and brand identity for Advantage Property Services will be introduced in the coming months, signaling the company’s forward-looking strategy and renewed focus on local leadership.

Founders Frame Transition as Local Evolution

Co-founders Marc Townsend (Chairman) and Richard Leech (Executive Director) described the reversion to Advantage Property Services as “a natural evolution” of the company’s journey.
“This isn’t just a rebrand—it’s a statement of local pride,” they said. “Advantage Property Services allows our team to move with greater independence and speed while maintaining the integrity, professionalism, and market insight that have defined us since 2008.”

As Advantage Property Services, the firm will continue to play a central role in Cambodia’s evolving real estate landscape while expanding its reach into new sectors and regional markets across Southeast Asia.
