Meet & Greet with Mony 2026 returned on 13th September as one of Cambodia’s most anticipated youth events, bringing together over 150 participants, which includes outstanding Grade A, B, and C students from across the country at AmCam Exchange. Selected through the Bamnang App from an overwhelming number of nationwide applications, the students spent the day exploring pathways to higher education, local and international scholarships, and careers in Cambodia’s growing digital economy. Meet & Greet with Mony 2026 is recognized and supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MoEYS), Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh, EducationUSA, AmCam Exchange, GooShop Cambodia, and several media partners.
Founded in 2020 by Ms. Seng Rothsethamony, Co-Founder and CEO of Bamnang, the annual event has grown from a single gathering into a platform connecting students with mentors, scholarship resources, and real-world opportunities, bridging education, technology, and entrepreneurship across Cambodia. This year’s edition also aligned with the Royal Government of Cambodia’s strategic push to advance digital education, strengthen human resource development, and prepare young people for the future of work.
The day opened with remarks from Ms. Sara Feuerstein, Acting Public Relations Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia, followed by a roundtable discussion featuring Dr. Matthew Schnek, Ms. Seng Rothsethamony, Mr. Menghieng Ngov, and Mr. Sophea Chea. The afternoon rounded out with networking sessions and an exciting lucky draw for students.
Mr. Menghieng Ngov, Co-Founder and COO of Bamnang Housing, spoke on student safety and adjusting to city life, framing Bamnang Housing’s mission as one that goes beyond shelter: a community that stands by students throughout their academic journey.
Dr. Matthew Schnek, Interim President of the American University of Phnom Penh, walked students through AUPP’s academic programs and scholarship opportunities, giving many of them a clearer picture as they weighed which university to attend.
Mr. Sophea Chea, Executive Director of AmCam Exchange and an EducationUSA Advisor, closed out the speaker line-up with a session titled “Unlocking Dreams: Study Tips and Scholarship Opportunities to the United States and STEM Education,” drawing strong interest from participants eager to study abroad, especially in America.
“This event is more than a meet and greet; it’s a step toward a digital future where education meets innovation,” said Ms. Seng Rothsethamony, Co-Founder and CEO of Bamnang. “We want our students to see that creativity, technology, and courage can transform not only their lives but their communities as well.”
Six years on from its first edition in 2020, Meet & Greet with Mony has become a milestone moment for Cambodian students taking their first steps toward leadership through digital learning and a clear demonstration of Bamnang’s commitment to building a future-ready generation of Cambodian innovators. Students who had attended the event had left feeling optimistic and equipped with the information necessary for their future steps of education.
