Cambodia Investment Review
Italian luxury furniture group B&B Italia has officially launched its new monobrand showroom in the heart of Phnom Penh, marking its entry into Cambodia’s growing premium design and interior market. The 460-square-meter retail space is located within the T-One Gallery, a curated design destination situated in the city’s bustling lifestyle district.
The Phnom Penh showroom brings the globally recognized design identity of B&B Italia to Cambodia, offering a curated collection of contemporary and iconic furniture pieces. Known for pushing the boundaries of style and innovation, the new retail space reflects the brand’s commitment to showcasing both heritage and modern creativity.
B&B Italia’s expansion into Cambodia is part of its broader global distribution strategy. With a strong presence in over 80 countries and flagship stores in major cities including Milan, New York, and Paris, the launch in Phnom Penh highlights the company’s growing focus on Southeast Asia’s emerging design markets.
Bringing Iconic Italian Design to Cambodia
Designed in line with the visual and conceptual identity of B&B Italia’s headquarters in Novedrate, Italy – which was created by renowned architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers – the new Phnom Penh showroom displays a carefully curated selection from the brand’s indoor furniture collections.
Key pieces include the Tobi-Ishi sculptural table by Barber and Osgerby, Allure O’ by Monica Armani, and iconic designs such as Mario Bellini’s Camaleonda modular sofa and Le Bambole seating series, Gaetano Pesce’s Up chair, and Antonio Citterio’s Charles sofa. Each setting in the showroom is arranged to reflect the themes of innovation, elegance, and functionality.
Demetrio Apolloni, CEO of B&B Italia Group, emphasized the brand’s strategic vision for entering the Cambodian market. “The opening in Phnom Penh represents an important opportunity to highlight our timeless collections in a city that is sensitive to design and Made in Italy,” he said. “With our design products, heritage, and passion, we aim to inspire and engage the local community of architects, interior designers, and design lovers.”
Strategic Location at T-One Gallery
The showroom’s location within T-One Gallery places it at the epicenter of Cambodia’s design scene. T-One Gallery is home to more than 30 global furniture and home furnishing brands, and serves as a destination for homeowners, architects, and interior professionals seeking premium design solutions. Its proximity to Phnom Penh’s major shopping malls, luxury residences, and diplomatic centers makes it an ideal venue for B&B Italia’s high-end offerings.
“B&B Italia is more than just a furniture brand—it’s about curating a lifestyle,” said Jayson Dela Paz, Marketing Manager of T-One Gallery. “This partnership reinforces T-One Gallery’s position as Cambodia’s premier destination for world-class interior design.”
Continued Global Expansion
The Phnom Penh opening is the latest in B&B Italia Group’s ongoing international growth, which includes over 60 single-brand stores and 700 specialized outlets worldwide. Its portfolio also includes the brands Maxalto, Arclinea, and Azucena, each bringing a distinct identity within the high-end residential and contract furniture sectors.
Founded in 1966, B&B Italia has become a symbol of Italian industrial design, recognized for its collaborations with top designers and for winning numerous prestigious awards, including five Compasso d’Oro accolades. The Group’s mission is rooted in combining creativity, research, and craftsmanship to deliver furniture that is both iconic and enduring.
