Smart Axiata would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to all customers for their patience, trust, and continued support during the recent network transformation on 13 June 2025, which temporarily impacted internet services.
During the transition, Smart has to establish new routes for transiting massive volumes of internet traffic to secure international hubs as Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. All the actions were undertaken following the strategic shift away fiber and bandwidth previously routed through Thailand. This major transition reflects Cambodia’s commitment—under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet—to achieving digital independence and building a safer, more resilient internet infrastructure.
Smart Axiata is fully committed to our responsibility in providing stable internet experience and we understand that this interruption experienced on 13th of June impacted many day-to-day activities.
With “Thank you, Data Package!” Smart Axiata would like to apologize and to demonstrate respect and understanding over the impact that was caused by internet interruption on 13th of June. Following Tokens of Appreciation will be provided:
- For Mobile Internet Customers:
- Validity Extension: Automatic 3-day extension for all active packages and add-ons on 13 June 2025 for impacted users.
- Free Data Incentive: 3GB bonus data for all customers who renew their mobile tariff plans between 13-15 June 2025.
- Free Data Incentive: 3GB bonus data for all customers who renew their mobile tariff plans between 16-30th of June 2025.
Smart confirms that all internet services—including Mobile, Smart@Home, and Fiber+—were fully restored as of 13 June 2025, and services have returned to normal with high performance and reliability.
