Cambodia Investment Review
The Toilet Board Coalition is proud to announce the expansion of its sector-leading Accelerator to Cambodia. The Accelerator facilitates the growth of Sanitation Economy businesses serving low-income communities across Africa, Asia and Latin America, matching entrepreneurs with global business leaders and investors to drive progress on Sustainable Development Goal 6 —sanitation for all by 2030.
This Accelerator in Cambodia, in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), will be delivered in Khmer for the first time, to support local entrepreneurs innovating sanitation solutions across the entire value chain—from collection and transportation to treatment, digitised sanitation, and reuse.
Access To Investment Opportunities
In Cambodia, approximately 63% of the population lacks access to safely managed sanitation, posing significant health and environmental risks. The 2025 Cambodia Cohort aims to help tackle this urgent challenge by equipping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing services in the sanitation sector, with business model coaching, corporate mentorship, and access to investment opportunities.

Applications for the 2025 Cambodia Cohort are now open until February 28, 2025. The programme will commence in April 2025 and will support three regional SMEs with innovations in the sector, such as low-flush technologies and rural faecal sludge treatment. Applicants should have scalable, commercially viable business models that deliver sanitation in innovative, customer-centric ways. Interested SMEs operating in Cambodia and serving low-income consumers are encouraged to apply.
“Our Accelerator has supported millions and unlocked significant sanitation business opportunities across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. To achieve SDG 6, we must continue accelerating business solutions to the sanitation crisis. With ADB’s support, we’re excited to bring the programme to Cambodia, delivered in the Khmer language for the first time.” – Greg Davies, CEO at the Toilet Board Coalition.
