The 2024 Cambodia Construction Industry Expo, the country’s premier construction event, concluded after a three-day showcase at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre from December 5–7. The event highlighted Cambodia’s thriving construction sector and its pivotal role in national development.

Organized by the Cambodia Constructors Association (CCA) with exhibitors from OCIC, ISI Group, Sika, SCG, Panasonic, Canadia Bank and more, the expo attracted hundreds of participants and exhibitors. It showcased construction and engineering, real estate, infrastructure, robotics, architecture, and emerging construction technologies.

A Platform to Unite Key Players

H.E. Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, inaugurated the event with Lok Neak Oknha Dr. Pung Kheav Se, Chairman of the CCA and OCIC. In his opening remarks, the DPM viewed the exhibition as a platform to unite key players and also encouraged stakeholders to work together to modernise and develop sustainability in the construction sector.

OCIC, a key contributor in Cambodia’s construction sector, presented several notable projects at the event, including Techo International Airport, Morodok Techo Flyover, Koh Pich, Norea City, Olympia City, and Chroy Changvar Satellite City. Its affiliates, Diamond Glass, Diamond Elevator, CCML, CMML, and Cana Concrete, also participated, underscoring the group’s footprint in the industry.

Presenting Forward-Thinking Projects

Since 2000, Cambodia’s construction sector has attracted nearly US$80 billion in investment, solidifying its position as a key driver of economic growth. Private sector groups like OCIC have been active in capitalizing on this momentum, expanding the nation’s infrastructure and urban landscapes.

The expo also featured interactive workshops from WAE, Future Forum, Pointer, Woodwork Cambodia, and MScents KH, promoting knowledge sharing and interaction. Students from the Royal University of Fine Arts and CamTech University presented forward-thinking projects, showcasing Cambodia’s creative potential.

With a focus on sustainability and forward-thinking solutions, the 2024 Cambodia Construction Industry Expo not only celebrated industry advancements but also highlighted OCIC’s central role in shaping a resilient and progressive construction sector. The event underscored the importance of continued collaboration and innovation in building Cambodia’s future.
