Their deployment of the Next Generation Signaling Firewall (NGSF) deployment saw Smart become the first telecommunications company in Cambodia to integrate this advanced global security solution. Smart has also achieved the ISO 27001:2013 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS), an internationally recognized benchmark for data protection and cybersecurity standards. This certification solidifies the company’s position as a trusted guardian of sensitive data in the digital era.
Utilizing Technology for Emission Reduction
With “Advancing Green Economy” as one of their sustainability pillars, Smart utilizes the power of technology to tackle climate-related issues by their willingness to adopt new technologies to reduce emissions, such as their implementation of iPowerStar 2.0in 2023, an energy-saving feature that reduces power usage by 4.5% in implemented sites. Additionally, Smart continues to equip their mobile network towers with solar panels, with 295 new solar-powered sites being deployed in 2023.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth,, and Sport, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, and private partners, Smart has organized workshops to equip students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape safely.
In addition, Smart has championed child online protection by working with organizations such as Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE) Cambodia to create safer digital environments for children.
