Cambodia investment Review
InterNations, the popular business networking community in Phnom Penh, is set to host its first-ever Entrepreneur Exchange event on October 19th at TRIBE Hotel’s rooftop Hemisphere Bar. This innovative event will introduce a fresh twist to the traditional networking format, allowing participants to present their businesses through rapid, two-minute pitches, followed by an hour of speed networking. The event will run from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, providing a dynamic platform for attendees to connect and share their entrepreneurial ventures.
Pitching and Networking with a Twist
Tom Starkey, InterNations ambassador and event organizer, highlighted that this change comes directly from community feedback. “We conducted a poll in our Telegram group to see what our community wanted from future events. While we suggested ice-breaking activities and zonal networking, pitching and speed networking were clear favorites,” Starkey explained. “So, they spoke, and we listened. This month, we’re introducing a special Entrepreneur Exchange event featuring these new activities.”
For those who prefer not to participate in pitching or speed networking, a breakout room will be available for general networking. This flexibility ensures that all attendees can enjoy the event according to their preferences. Starkey added, “We know some attendees weren’t interested in pitching, so we’ve organized a breakout space to keep the pitching and general networking separate, which has been made possible thanks to the fantastic venue at TRIBE.”
Opportunity To Showcase Ideas and Form New Connections
To add excitement, the best business pitch of the evening will win a free article feature in Cambodia Investment Review, selected by founder and editor Harrison White. “We are always eager to support events that encourage business connections and community,” White said. “This event is especially exciting because we can offer the winner a business article that will help promote their company.”
The event will conclude with a lucky draw, featuring prizes such as vouchers from popular establishments like Hong Bao and Bai Sor, spa treatments by Khmer Tonics, a night’s stay at TRIBE Hotel, and premium spirits from AusKhmer. Entry is $10, which includes one drink, or $25 for free-flow drinks, with tickets available for purchase at the door.
This first-of-its-kind event aims to provide Phnom Penh’s growing business community with a valuable opportunity to showcase their ideas and form new connections. Click here to register your spot and find out more!
