Cambodian Students Secure Top Global Rankings in ACCA Examinations

Two students from CamEd Business School in Cambodia have been recognized for achieving the highest scores globally in the December 2023 examination session of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a UK-based international accounting body. The achievements were celebrated at a press conference and award ceremony hosted by CamEd Business School, attended by H.E. Prof. Ngy Tayi, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, along with the school’s management.

Ms. Na Meyfong and Mr. Suon Sovann Vichea earned the top scores in the Foundations in Financial Management (FFM) and Foundations in Audit (FAU), respectively. This accomplishment places them at the forefront of students worldwide in these areas of study.

Mr. Casey Barnett, President of CamEd Business School, expressed pride in the students’ achievements, noting the competitive nature of the ACCA examinations. The exams attract candidates from across the globe, including the UK, Europe, Singapore, and Malaysia, who all sit for the exams at the same time.

Mr. Neou Ratna, ACCA’s Country Manager for Cambodia and Laos, commented on the continuous success of Cambodian students in securing top rankings in the ACCA exams, particularly highlighting the performance of students from CamEd Business School. Ratna acknowledged the school’s faculty for their role in preparing the students and encouraged the awardees to mentor their peers, aiming to uplift the academic performance of students in Cambodia.
