The 1st ASEAN Social Networking Night (ASN) is organized in celebration of Cambodia being the chair and host of the recent successful 40th and 41st ASEAN meetings between ASEAN member and non-member countries. ASN will be held on 13th December 2022 at the Ballroom of the Himawari Hotel Apartments from 5pm to 10pm.
Initiated by Universal Alliance Co. Ltd, the aim of ASN is to foster closer relationships between the ASEAN and non-ASEAN businesses and expatriate community living in Cambodia. Eric Lim, the CEO who had organized the World Summit on Sustainable Development for UNDP in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and Jakarta, Indonesia also organized Cambodia’s first ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) with the Ministry of Tourism 20 years ago.
“It is known that most ASEAN countries have relied on tourism activities and post Covid should see a revival of tourism activities within ASEAN and we hope that with this social gathering between ASEAN and Non-ASEAN countries can also lead to more social and business collaboration between the international and local community in Cambodia,” Eric said.
The “first-of-its-kind” ASEAN Social Networking Night
“To date, we have received attendance confirmation from various embassies and representatives including the Ambassador of Malaysia, government officials and some of the ASEAN and non-ASEAN Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations,” he added.
The “first-of-its-kind” ASEAN Social Networking Night is a ‘non-profit event’ that includes food, beverage at $28 per person and we seek support among the expat and local community to exchange views, ideas and opportunities within Cambodia. Future events planned for next year are in the areas of culinary and cuisine, cultural exchanges, CSR and more.
