The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) has hosted its monthly members networking night at the newly launched Perch Restaurant & Lounge located on the 36th Floor of the M Residence Tower in BKK1 bringing together over 100 AmCham members and associates.
Perch founder, Samuel Doe who has been a celebrity chef and restaurateur since 2011 spoke with Cambodia Investment Review on the restaurant’s French bistro-meets-Californian-cuisine dishes, his worldly view and palate love to design fusion dishes.
“We designed Perch to be the real estate and business hub for lunch or dinner, a fine dining feeling that won’t hurt the wallet,” Samuel said.
“Open to the public are catering to business luncheons, birthday dinners, and nightclub events every Friday and Saturday. A large part of our business is event-based with real estate, corporate, and private parties,” he added.
Massively successful networking event
Anthony Galliano, AmCham President told Cambodia Investment Review that following a massively successful networking event, he was delighted to have the Perch as a new Silver Member, membership now over 230 and continues to grow, especially among Khmer companies.
“The Chamber has substantial plans as we head into the fourth quarter of 2022 with a greater focus on informative events following the overwhelming success of our Trusts and Trust Law breakfast, with over 100 attendees,” Galliano said.
“In collaboration with the GDT we will hold “Tax Updates and Audits” with our honored guest and keynote speaker, His Excellency, Kong Vibol, Director General of the General Department of Taxation,” he added.
On October 6th, the chamber will hold a special dinner with His Excellency, Bou Chanphirou, Director General of the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia, to discuss the amazing growth in the Insurance Industry, and future plans and strategy.
The best of the best in key advocacy
“I am very pleased and encouraged by the strength and commitment of the Board and the fact we continue to position the best of the best in key advocacy seats, recently Clint OÇonnell for the Tax Committee, Tom O’Sullivan for Real Estate and Construction, and Tomas Gimenz for our Beer and Spirits committee,” Galliano said.

“CSR has seen resounding achievements in 2022, with the demining of two villages, raising funds for cervical cancer testing for garment workers, and providing bikes, helmets, and stationary for Indochina Starfish Foundation,” he added.
The AmCham Channel has also continued to gain traction with intentions to do more member showcasing in addition to releasing recordings of informative events. According to Galliano, there are more innovative plans which will provide value to the members and enrich their experience as the board strives to make this the Golden Era of AmCham.
