One of the country’s best-known fintech firms TrueMoney is offering shoppers the weekend deal to earn $5 on purchases from $25 with the company’s latest tie-up with wholesale center, Makro.
The special offer marks the start of an agreement between TrueMoney and Makro, which are part of the same group – part of the CP Group. TrueMoney customers who pay for their shopping at Makro with the TrueMoney Wallet are eligible for a USD 5 cashback on the weekend. The offer starts from now until July 31, 2022.
The official agreement between TrueMoney and Makro is announced on June 28.
TrueMoney’s Chief Strategy Officer Ms. Khuon Frandara said: “TrueMoney is all about providing value for money for our customers. With this latest agreement TrueMoney is offering incredible value from one of the country’s biggest wholesale centers in Cambodia. Quite literally it pays to shop at Makro using the TrueMoney Wallet.”
Makro Managing Director Jarernsuk Yuttapoom said: “We have been aware of the impressive growth of TrueMoney over the past year, and we are pleased to offer our quality products to TrueMoney customers under this agreement.”
Based at Sen Sok in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Makro, the wholesale center for professional business operators, provides wholesale-priced products to entrepreneurs, restaurants, hotel catering services, organizations, and small retail stores. And the company will open more branches in the future.
TrueMoney is one of Cambodia’s leading fintech firms. TrueMoney doubled the number of new accounts in 2021 in the space of a year and increased customer transactions by 40% in the same period.
