The Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) officially inaugurated its new Phnom Penh headquarters on August 10, 2026, as the industry body looks to strengthen its institutional capacity and support the continued development of Cambodia’s banking sector.
The new office is located at Building No. 99, Samdech Pan Avenue, Sangkat Boeung Raing, Khan Daun Penh.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by ABC Chairman Rath Sophoan, the association’s vice chairman and council members, alongside representatives from key financial-sector institutions.
These included the Institute of Banking and Finance, the Financial Consumer Protection Center, the Cambodia Microfinance Association and Credit Bureau Cambodia.
Expanded Office to Support Banking-Sector Coordination
Speaking at the ceremony, Rath Sophoan said the larger office provides ABC’s leadership and Secretariat with an improved working environment as the association expands its support for councils and member banks.

He thanked ABC council members, member banking institutions and partner organisations for their continued cooperation with the Secretariat throughout the relocation process.
Sophoan also called on the association’s management and staff to maintain high professional standards and deliver effective support to members, contributing to a more resilient, active and growing banking sector in Cambodia.
Human Resources Named as the Next Priority
ABC Executive Director Ros Khemara said the office relocation represents only the first stage of the association’s broader institutional development.
He identified strengthening ABC’s human-resource capacity as the next priority, with the association seeking to build a workplace where employees can develop professionally, communicate openly and collaborate effectively.
Khemara said the new office would support ABC’s ambition to create a more dynamic organisational culture while improving its ability to serve members and coordinate with financial-sector partners.
The inauguration comes as Cambodia’s banking industry continues navigating changing economic conditions, rising asset-quality pressures and the need for stronger consumer protection, workforce development and industry coordination.
