I first expected Escape Road to be another simple driving game, but the police chase changed that quickly. I had to keep moving, find gaps in traffic, and make decisions before the road disappeared behind me.
Escape Road puts me behind the wheel with one obvious problem: I need to get away. The road is busy, the police are close, and every turn can create a new problem. I never know how long a clean run will last.
I like how quickly Escape Road gets into the action. There is no need to spend a long time preparing the car. I start driving, watch the traffic, and look for any opening that might help me stay ahead.
The most exciting part of Escape Road is not simply driving fast. I have to decide where to go when several cars block the road. A narrow turn can save a run, while one bad move can leave me surrounded.
escape road feels different from normal racing games because I am not chasing another driver toward a finish line. I am trying to survive the pursuit. That changes the way I think about speed, turns, traffic, and risky shortcuts.
