Cambodia Investment Review
La French Tech Phnom Penh will hold a Tech Talk on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at The Last Stage, Aquation Theater, Koh Pich, Phnom Penh. The event is free and open to entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals interested in technology and innovation across Southeast Asia.
This Tech Talk is part of a wider series of initiatives being prepared in the lead-up to the 2026 Francophonie Summit in Cambodia, including the FrancoTech Forum & Village de la Francophonie, which aims to position Cambodia as a leading hub for French-speaking tech innovation in Southeast Asia. The Summit, which Cambodia will host in November 2026, will gather delegations from across the world’s French-speaking nations, making it a rare moment of international visibility for the country’s emerging tech scene.
Conducted in English, the evening brings together speakers from Cambodia’s local tech and startup ecosystem, founders, investors, incubators, accelerators, and government institution leaders spanning EdTech, FoodTech, TravelTech, PropTech, Cybersecurity, AI, and Software Development — around a central question: “Apps for Emerging Markets — In the age of AI, how do you build from Cambodia?”

The panel will be moderated by Sivhuang Lay, Managing Director of DICHI Academy (EdTech), who joins as both moderator and speaker, bringing first-hand experience building an EdTech platform for emerging markets.
Why Cambodia, Why Now
Cambodia’s tech ecosystem is at an inflection point. With a young, mobile-first population, accelerating digital infrastructure, and a government actively investing in innovation through institutions like the Techo Startup Center and Khmer Enterprise, the conditions for building scalable tech companies have never been more compelling.
Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant concept for Cambodian builders, it is an active tool reshaping product development, automation, and customer experience.
Building Cambodian Champions
The long-term ambition of La French Tech Phnom Penh, and of Cambodia’s ecosystem at large, is to build companies that do not just survive locally, but win regionally: startups that carry Cambodian DNA into Southeast Asia and beyond. This event is one step in that direction, connecting builders, backers, and ecosystem enablers around a shared conviction that the next great emerging-market tech stories can be written here.

The Board of La French Tech Phnom Penh is proudly supported by Solutions BI, Canadia Impact Fund, TechFlow, UMAMI, Pravinya, OCIC, and Aquation Theater, a coalition of Cambodian and international companies committed to building a stronger, more connected innovation ecosystem in Cambodia.
