Pan Sorasak, in his address, highlighted the significant contributions of the Triangular Strategy and the four phases of the Rectangular Strategy in the past 25 years. He underlined the pivotal role of the newly introduced Pentagonal Strategy Phase, initiated by the Royal Government of Cambodia in August 2023, to propel the nation towards Vision 2050.

Need To Think Globally & Act Locally in Cambodia

“We should start looking at the Pentagonal Strategy Phase I by understanding first the global megatrend that the world is facing, including the political, geo-economic, technology and digital, and environmental and climate change trends,” Sorasak emphasized.

Sorasak also expressed the summit’s purpose: to invigorate young Cambodians, professionally prepared to assume leadership roles. He acknowledged Cambodia’s history and culture of nurturing younger generations for leadership, a legacy interrupted by war. Vision 2050 envisions Cambodia as a capable, high-income, democratic, independent, sovereign, internationally recognized nation with a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economy.

While encouraging Cambodians to draw inspiration from global examples, Sorasak emphasized the need to think globally and act locally for Cambodia’s unique needs and context.

The summit aimed to inspire collaboration between senior leaders and the youth for shared benefits and a promising future.

Phillip Bank’s support for the Leadership for Good Summit underscores its commitment to nurturing Cambodia’s future leaders. By actively participating in initiatives like these, Phillip Bank demonstrates its dedication to building a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economy in alignment with Cambodia’s Vision 2050. The bank envisions a future where young Cambodians are empowered to lead, contribute, and shape the nation’s trajectory for generations to come.
