Cambodia Investment Review

Cambodia’s largest general insurer and fast-growing life insurer, Forte, has announced that Mr Prou Sythan has been appointed the new CEO of Forte Life Assurance as of 2 May 2023.

Mr Prou Sythan joins Forte Life Assurance with over a decade of experience in the insurance industry. He will be taking over from Mr Alex Lee, Forte Life Assurance’s previous CEO, who will be retiring after leading the business since its establishment in 2019.

Mr Sythan is among the few Cambodian senior leaders who pioneered life insurance in 2012 when he joined Manulife Cambodia as the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and later becoming the Chief Partnership Distribution Officer.

Experience in the industry and key leadership roles

He is a familiar face in the financial services community for his active involvement in giving sensible input to new regulations and bringing public awareness towards insurance. He has been steadfastly committed to the growth of the insurance industry, serving as Chairman of the Education Committee for the Insurance Association of Cambodia.
