The third annual Cambodian Real Estate Awards (CREA) was held this week at the prestigious Sofitel Phnom Penh, with multiple companies scooping awards across several different categories.

The CREA is generally considered the most prestigious awards ceremony for the real estate sector within the Kingdom and was organized by RealEstate.com.kh in collaboration with the Real Estate & Pawnshop Regulator of Cambodia, The Ministry of Land Management & Urban Planning and the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association.

Major sponsors included B2B-Cambodia and Panasonic Cambodia, who were showcasing their nanoe™X Technology, as recently reported in Cambodia Investment Review.

Over 500 people attended the event in the Grand Ballroom of the Sofitel Hotel, which included not just members of the real estate sector, but also partner industries, many of which had booths at the entrance as well as a large contingent of both international and local media.

Guests were treated to a three-course gala dinner, with the many winners getting a chance to walk the red carpet and collect their awards.

First launched in 2019 the event was suspended in 2020 due to Covid-19 returning last year.

This added extra prominence to this year’s event, with it being the first to happen since Cambodia reopened to international visitors since the start of the pandemic. It also follows hot on the heels of the recent CRBE report, as covered in Cambodia Investment Review that suggested the sector as a whole was set to make a robust recovery.
