Cambodia Investment Review
The 1 Khmer B2B and B2C Expo is set to become one of the most successful business events of 2023, with official backing from the Securities Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), the Cambodia Stock Exchange (CSX), and the Real Estate & Pawnshop Regulators (RPR). Scheduled to take place from September 22-24 at the Olympia Mall Indoor Exhibition Center, the event is organized by ENGAGE, a brand under Universal Alliance and is free for all registered visitors, company personnel, and working professionals.
The expo boasts a diverse profile of exhibitors, including public listed companies, securities firms, derivatives, banks, insurance companies, telecommunication companies, property developers, internet service providers, asset management companies, hotel resorts, technology companies, and major beverage brands. According to James Ong, the Director of Operations at ENGAGE, “Presently we have over 60 companies and 10 major sponsors for the event, and the list is growing daily and will exceed over 100 booths.”
A Unique Branding and Marketing Platform
Major sponsors for the event include ABA Bank, Canopy Sands, Metfone, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Gold Financial Global, Cellcard and Meridian. Other financial institutions like Canadia Bank, RHB Bank, and AEON Bank are also participating, along with most of the telecommunications companies, internet service providers, and major beverage brands. Hotels such as Hyatt Regency, Marriot Courtyard, Fairfield by Marriot, and FCC Angkor are confirmed with more pending from seaside resorts and hotels.

The event serves as a unique branding and marketing platform for successful local and international companies, offering excellent networking opportunities among SMEs, multinationals, and public listed companies. Over the course of the three-day event, attendees can participate in seminars on topics ranging from “How to Invest in the Cambodia Stock Exchange” to “Making Money in Real Estate,” “Insurance & Risk Protection,” “Gold Investments,” “Banking Services,” and “Raising Funds in the Capital Market (IPO),” among others.
The cost to participate in the expo starts at just $550 for a booth, while sponsorships begin at just over $2,000 for the three-day event. James Ong added, “The 1Khmer Exhibition serves as a crucial marketing platform for companies to promote their brands and establish valuable connections. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity for businesses to thrive in the Cambodian market.”
Cambodia Business, a Quarterly Publication
In a parallel development, ADVANTAGE, another brand of Universal Alliance, will be launching Cambodia Business, a quarterly publication focusing on business and finance matters, successful entrepreneurs, and the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Tom Julien, the Business Development Manager of Cambodia Business, stated that advertisers would receive not only print advertisements but also exposure on their dedicated website, complete with a hyperlink to the corporate website and digital channels like Facebook and Telegram. “Everyone is on their mobile phone today, and you can download the whole publication right onto your mobile phone. The best part of our advertising in Cambodia Business is that it costs from just US$5 per day for exposure in four different channels of communication,” Julien said.
The Opening Ceremony of the expo will feature senior officials from the new government. Additionally, there could be some planned Memorandum of Understandings signed between companies, among other announcements to be made soon.
