Canadia Bank Partners with TADA Cambodia to Uplift Drivers’ Livelihoods and Promote Cashless Transactions

Cambodia Investment Review

Canadia Bank, Cambodia’s largest locally-owned commercial bank, has partnered with TADA Cambodia, the country’s pioneering zero-commission ride-hailing platform, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating digital payment adoption, expanding financial inclusion, promoting EV adoption, and enhancing safety for Cambodia’s driver community.

This collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening Cambodia’s mobility ecosystem by providing electric vehicle (EV) transportation to Canadia Bank staff and introducing seamless cashless payment solutions for TADA drivers, many of whom depend on ride-hailing as their primary source of income.

Vision For a Cashless, Digitally Connected Economy

Under the agreement, Canadia Bank and TADA Cambodia will collaborate to promote the use of electronic vehicles and explore the QR-based payment system among drivers, enabling them to receive payments securely and conveniently from customers. This initiative not only improves efficiency and transparency for drivers but also supports the Royal Government of Cambodia’s vision for a cashless, digitally connected economy, while upholding the vision for net-zero emissions
