Rosewood Phnom Penh Hosts Inaugural “Taste of Cambodia” Culinary Festival on September 11–14

CIR Life & Luxury

Rosewood Phnom Penh is set to host a four-day dining and cultural festival, Taste of Cambodia, from September 11–14, 2025. The program brings together Michelin-star chefs, acclaimed mixologists, and Cambodia’s leading culinary talent for a curated series of experiences across the hotel’s venues.

International chefs headline dining program

Among the highlights is French chef Alexis Moko, a Michelin-starred talent who has worked at prestigious restaurants including The Ledbury and The Lanesborough. He will present a three-course lunch ($45) and five-course dinner ($85) at Cuts, Rosewood’s award-winning steakhouse, recently recognized among the World’s 50 Best Discovery restaurants.

At Zhan Liang, Chef Teng Kam Seng will collaborate with Chef Bill Feng of Lingnan House in a four-hands Cantonese dinner ($168). Both chefs have accumulated decades of experience and recognition from the Michelin Guide and Black Pearl Awards, underscoring Cambodia’s growing profile as a regional dining hub.

For dessert lovers, Rosewood’s pastry chef Sonara Sieng will join five other chefs at the IBC Annual Ball on September 13, a 10-hands dinner to benefit the Indochina Starfish Foundation.

Spotlight on mixology and cultural exchange

Sora, the hotel’s rooftop bar named among Asia’s 50 Best Bars, will see a one-year Nikka Whisky takeover, beginning September 11 with guest bartender Takuya Matsumoto from Waldorf Astoria Osaka’s Canes & Tales. Cocktails will be priced from $12, while local bar collaborations—featuring Infusion, Papa Wong’s, Bar43, and others—will headline cocktail parties with $7 serves.

The initiative coincides with the appointment of Jonas Vittur as Rosewood Phnom Penh’s new Director of Bars. With global experience spanning Australia, Japan, and Europe, Vittur aims to position Sora as a destination blending Japanese precision with Cambodian influences.

Afternoon teas and charity partnerships

Beyond fine dining, the Living Room lounge will host an Afternoon Tea x Il Nodo Cambodia collaboration ($56 for two), combining Khmer artisanal snacks with Italian-inspired pastries. Il Nodo, a non-profit initiative, helps Cambodian youth access education and life skills through craft and design projects.

The program culminates on September 14 with a Champagne Sunday Brunch at Brasserie Louis ($70 per person), featuring Kep lamb, Khmer classics, and free-flowing Luc Belaire sparkling wine.

Cambodia’s evolving hospitality sector

The Taste of Cambodia showcase comes as Phnom Penh strengthens its positioning as a regional culinary destination, attracting Michelin chefs and spotlighting local talent. Events like these also highlight Cambodia’s growing luxury hospitality market, where brands such as Rosewood, Hyatt, and Raffles are competing to capture a rising mix of international travelers and affluent locals.
